CC186 Just Because
I have to tell you~ I absolutely love this weeks color challenge at SCS!
Really Rust
Choc. Chip
Baja Breeze
I'm really lovin' Baja Breeze, and I have ALWAYS loved my Choc. Chip ~ Really Rust never grew on me, but somehow, the combo of the three gives me butterflies in my tummy when I see it!! I have seen Really Rust in a brand new light! :)
Anyway, enough of my little spiritual awakening. I combined the color challenge with this week's Mojo Sketch and came up with 'Just Because'. I used my big Inkadinkado butterfly again for this card. I Stamped it on white card stock with Brilliance Aurora ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I dry embossed the rust panel with my Fiskars Stone Texture Plate, and edged the choc. panel with the Martha Stewart lacy edge punch.
Recipe:
Stamps: Garden Delight (Inkadinkado), Best Yet (SU)
Paper: white, choc. chip, really rust, baja breeze
Ink: choc. chip, aurora (Brilliance)
Extras: oval, and lacy edge punches, brads, rhinestones, dimensionals, ep, texture plate (stone), chalk
Before I go I just wanted to give anyone who may be interested a Johnny update--
Pirates #4 is in the works!!!!!!!!! Ahrrr matey!!
Okay, I think that's about it for tonight. Thank you so much for stopping by, and keep smiling a lot! :)

My butterfly is from my Inkadiankado set, Garden Delight. I inked her up with my Brilliance Aurora ink pad, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, same with the little flower. I adhered them to my card with dimensionals.

Two Challenge Cards Limited/Inspiration
I hope you're having a happy Saturday! Right now I'm enjoying the moment at my table creating with my favorite challenges. Actually I have a lot of favorite challenges, I just wish I had the time to do all of them.
Today's Inspiration Challenge at SCS are some fantastic photos from Domino Paint Palettes. WOW! What a fun place to find color inspiration, check it out! Here is the photo I chose for my card.
I don't usually use a lot of bright/bold colors, but I thought the Caribbean blue and orange looked so pretty so I CHALLENGED myself.
I embossed the white cs base with the Dots Texture Plate from Fiskars. I added a Pacific Point panel, matted with a scalloped Pumpkin Pie panel tied with ribbon. I stamped my main image with black Archival Ink and water colored it with ink pads and a water pen, and of course added Stickles for a little sparkle. I cut it to size and matted it with white and Pacific Point panels punched with a lacy scalloped edge and added 3 orange brads. I stamped my flower with Pacific Point ink and punched it out with a scallop punch. I added some punched leaves and rhinestones to finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Fun and Fast Notes, So Many Scallops, Make it Count- all Stampin' Up!
Paper: White, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: black Archival Ink, Close to Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie
Extras: Fiskars Texture Plate, scallop punches, Martha Stewart lacy edge punch, leaf punch, ribbon, rhinestones, Stickles, dimensionals
My next card is from yesterday's Limited Supplies Challenge. We were supposed to use animals on a Christmas card. I just bought this adorable Cattitude set from Inkadinkado, and I found a small ornament stamp I have had for years. I thought the cat's tail was perfect for a dangling ornament. The only embellishment we could use was ribbon, so I used a simple layout.
Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado, Katie and Co.
Paper: Real Red, Certainly Celery, black, white
Ink: black Archival Ink, Versa Mark
Extras: Crystalite Pink EP, ribbon, black Sharpie pen
Well, thanks so much for stopping by, and don't forget to smile a lot! :):

WT185 Charmed Mojo
Happy Thursday!
Today's 'ways to use it' challenge on SCS is using charms on our cards/projects. I found this cute little teapot charm in my stash, and I remembered that I had a teapot stamp from years ago that would be perfect for this challenge.
I stamped my image on black cs with versa mark ink, then heat embossed it with Crystalite Pink embossing powder. I stamped my image again on white cs with black Archival Ink and water colored the flowers with ink pads and a water pen. I cut out the flowers and layered them on top of the embossed image. I added Stickles for sparkle. I used the sketch for Julee's Mojo Monday, and embossed one of my pink panels with the flourishes texture plate from Fiskars. I adhered the charm to the ribbon with a small glue dot.
Recipe:
Stamps: PSX, Studio G
Paper: white, pink pirouette, black, certainly celery
Ink: black, versa mark, pretty in pink, rose red, mellow moss
Extras: ribbon, ep, teapot charm, Stickles, rhinestones,, texture plate, black Sharpie, white gel pen, straight scallop punch

SC195 Angel of the Season
Hi! I hope you had a terrific Wednesday~
I just want to put a quick post up tonight, I really need to get some sleep! ~ "yawn"~
Today's Sketch challenge at SCS is really cool! I definitely want to use it again.
I started with a Night of Navy base, and I embossed all four panels with my Fiskars Texture Plates. I stamped the Angel on white cs with black Archival Ink and water colored her with my ink pads and a water pen. I added Stickles cuz she's an Angel, and Angels sparkle!! I still need to pick up a new camera. You can't see all the yummy texture and sparkle with the scanner. But I really like how she turned out, I hope you do too!
Recipe:
Stamps: Holy Triptych- SU
Paper: white, night of navy, bashful blue
Ink: black, close to cocoa, soft sky
Extras: ribbon, snowflake punches, Stickles, rhinestones, dimensionals, texture

CC185, FS85 Hello
Good Tuesday evening!
My annual Cape Cod trip with the Girls was fantastic! It's so nice to be able to take off with my 3 best friends for a week end. Not one year has my DH hassled me about it. We go to the Cape once a year to celebrate the life of a dear friend who passed away 8 years ago. We laugh and enjoy the moments and memories, it's just a beautiful time together, and something magical happens every year to let us know that April is with us.
I still miss my challenges when I'm away, so it feels good to get a couple in tonight, actually it's a combo challenge. Today's color challenge, (very vanilla, baja breeze and kiwi kiss) and the Featured Stamper, who is the amazingly talented Shannon aka: E3stamper, what a gallery! Check it out when you can!
I chose to case this card. We have to change at least 2 things about the card we case. Mine are the stamps, colors, and I flipped the layout over.
I used my 'Friendship Tree' stamp and colored the leaves for fall by water coloring with my ink pads and a water pen. I cut out the image, just trimming around the outside leaves. I stamped the Baja bg panel with Inkadinkado 'blowing leaves' in Baja Breeze ink, and pierced this and the Kiwi panel.
Recipe:
Stamps: Stampington and Co., Inkadinkado
Paper: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla
Ink: black, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, riding hood red, close to cocoa
Extras: paper piercer, ribbon, button, leaf punch, dimensionals
Thank you so much for stopping by, and keep smiling a lot! :):)

WT184 Pink Silhouettes
Today's 'ways to use it' challenge at SCS is using silhouette stamps, so I pulled out the Garden Silhouettes set that belongs to my stamping partner in crime, Pam.
I stamped the image on white cs with pink pirouette and pretty in pink inks, and I dotted it with Stickles. I made the background panel with my Fiskars embossing tool. Someday I'll get a Cuttlebug!
Here's the whole recipe:
Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Best Yet- SU
Paper: White, Pink Pirouette
Ink: pink pirouette, pretty in pink, black
Extras: Stickles, gems, ribbon, cute and curly punch, dimensionals
Well, that's all for now. I'm off to pack for my week end Cape Cod trip with 'The Girls'! Have a fantastic week end, and please keep smiling a lot!! :)
SC194 Christmas Rose
Good Wednesday evening!
This rose from Stampin' Up!'s Bloomin' Beautiful set is my absolute favorite stamp that I own. I use it so often- I just love it. The focal panel on today's sketch challenge at SCS is long, so of course, I immediately thought of THE ROSE! I've been on a Christmas card kick lately so I thought, "oh yea, I can 'Christmatize' THE ROSE!"
I stamped it on white cs with black ink. I water colored the bloom with Rose Red and Riding Hood Red inks and a water pen. The stem and leaves are done in Always Artichoke. I added Stickles for an icy shimmer.
I used my Cute and Curly Christmas label stamp and punch for the sentiment.
Recipe:
Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful, Cute and Curly- SU
Paper: white, always artichoke, bella rose dp
Ink: black, rose red, riding hood red, always artichoke
Extras: rhinestones, ribbon, Stickles, label punch, paper piercer, water pen, dimensionals
Oh boy, it's getting late and I still have to make lunches for tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by, and please keep smiling a lot! :):)

CC184, Mojo53 White Swirled and Some Challenge Catch Ups
Good Tuesday afternoon!
I have been home the past two days with children not feeling well. That, of course, I don't like. The upside is I can see they are feeling better, and I've been able to relax and catch up on some challenges- THAT I like!!
This card is for today's color challenge at SCS, 'basic gray, riding hood red and always artichoke'. I combined this with yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch.
I love the Snow Swirled set, and I love this tree heat embossed. I added red rhinestones to trim the tree and I stamped the flower from Baroque Motifs in riding hood red, punched it out with the triple flower punch, added a tiny rhinestone and a dimensional to top off my tree. I also heat embossed the snowflake on basic gray card stock and cut it out with my circle cutter.
Recipe:
Stamps: Snow Swirled, Baroque Motifs
Paper: white, basic gray, riding hood red, always artichoke
Ink: white craft, black, riding hood red
Extras: rhinestones, ribbon, white ep, dimensionals
The Splitcoaststampers Fan Club theme this month is 'Colors of the Rainbow'. I have a couple of cards done for that. The first is "Fuzzy Skating". I haven't inked up this cute little guy up in years! I paper pieced his sweater, skates and the trees, then water colored the rest of him with my SU ink pads and a blender pen. I also added some white liquid applique to his hat and the heart on his sweater for a fluffy look. I added Stickles to the moon and stars for twinkle, and the ice and trees for a frosty look. The snowflake was heat embossed on night of navy card stock and punched out with a scallop punch. I also used Beate's week end sketch for the layout.
Recipe
Stamps: Fuzzy Bear PSX, Snow Swirled SU
Paper: night of navy, white, soft sky dp
Ink: black, close to cocoa, tangerine tango, so saffron, kiwi kiss, always artichoke, white craft
Extras: White ep, ribbon, rhinestones, liquid applique, Stickles, dimensionals
This is another card for the Fan Club 'Glad we're Friends'. I paper pieced the flower from the 'One of a Kind' set with Bella Rose dp, added a white brad for the middle and popped it all up wit dimensionals. I used a white gel pen for detail. This is also the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You.
Recipe:
Stamps: One of A Kind, Best Yet SU
Paper: black, white, bella rose dp, riding hood red
Ink: black
Extras: brad, rhinestones, triple flower- scallop- circle- and fern punches, white gel pen
'Happy Haunting' is for Our Creative Corner's sketch challenge. All the stamps are Inkadinkado Clear Stamps. I heat embossed the totally cool & creepy tree and the sentiment with Versa Mark ink and black diamond ep. I sponged some chalk around the tree for a harvest moon light look.
Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Paper: black, summer sun, elegant eggplant, white
Ink: Versa Mark, black
Extras: black diamond ep, rhinestones, Stickles, dimensionals
That's it for now, thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to smile a lot! :):)

Anyway, I used Wednesday's ways to use it challenge at SCS for my sweet hubby's anniversary card. The challenge was using white gel pens- which I love!! Now I didn't do very much with it but look at how just a few dots create such fantastic detail, like on my scalloped edge. I love it!! (Hope he does too!)
I'm so far behind on my favorite challenges- oh well, one challenge at a time, one day at a time!
Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to smile a lot!:):)

Seasons Greetings Double Challenge
Happy Wednesday!
It feels like forever since I've blogged- well its been a good 2 weeks so, yea, forever!! Getting back to the 'kids at school, me at work' routine has taken up most of my energy. I have been wanting to stamp and create, and by the time lunches are made, papers are signed, backpacks and clothes are ready for the morning- (let's not even mention chores and cooking!) I've been making the mistake of sitting on the couch to "relax", and then I can't get up!! Well, today is my 1st REAL day off. When I say "REAL", I mean I'm home, the kids are in school and my dear hubby is at work. Don't get me wrong, my family is my life, however, some yummy quiet and breathing space is GOLDEN! So, I've been catching up on my fave blogs, and some challenges that I have missed dearly!
Today I combined the sketch and color challenges at SCS and came up with 'Seasons Greetings'. The colors reminded me of Christmas, and I finally got to use my Snow Swirled set from Stampin' Up! Ahhhh.... that's more like relaxing!!
I hope you are all happy and well, and thank you so much for stopping by-- Keep smiling!! :):)
